Ascension Announcements

Welcome the Rev. A. Thomas Kennedy!

The Rev. Thomas Kennedy will add Ascension to his circuit riding route around the Central Deanery this Sunday and serve as our guest celebrant at both services.  Ascension Café will be meeting in the Memorial Room at 9:00 am.

A Rare Break

On Wednesday, November 26 our regular events will take a rare break.  There will be no services at 7:00am or 12:15pm and Bible Study will also take a recess.  Everyone will return to our places on Wednesday, December 3.  Fr. Shawn Carty will join the Wednesday Bible Study for a look at the award-winning documentary The Power of Forgiveness.  Call Linda Shuss (733-9225) for more information.

We Gather Together . . .

. . . on Wednesday evening November 26 at 7:00pm to celebrate the blessings of this life and in gratitude for God's gifts.  After the blessing of Holy Eucharist we will enjoy the gifts of fellowship and tasty hors d'oeuvres at our traditional Thanksgiving Eve reception.  Bring an appetizer to share.  You also might consider introducing a friend to our life and journey at Ascension.

All Could, Some Do, Won't You?

Please return your pledge card.  Pledges can be returned by mail or dropped off at the special table in the narthex of the church.  For more information about the importance of the Pledge Drive during our transition, check out the search tab on the Ascension website or use this link:  http://ascension.episcopalidaho.org/search/steps_in_a_new_journey.html

The PB on IPTV

During her visit to Idaho, Presiding Bishop Katherine Jefferts Shori was interviewed on the Idaho Public Television program Dialogue.  The interview will be broadcast on Thursday Nov. 27, at 8:30 pm MST and Sunday Nov. 30, at 5:30 pm MST.  Check your local listings.

A Balanced Diet is a Cookie in Each Hand!

Ascension will participate in Feed My Sheep the first Saturday in December.

A quick look in the freezer has revealed that we really, really need cookies and/or brownies.  Please bake up a couple of dozen and bring them to the church for this important outreach.  Call Jo Leuze at 733-6295 for more information.
